This is Li gravfält - a burial site from the 9th and 10th century AD. It's very close to the Kattegat, so of course I expected lots of Viking Age finds. Over a hundred standing stones (up to 5 m tall!) and some ship stone settings have been placed here. They are not marked and only few graves have been researched, so we don't know for whom they were placed. There are even some older findings, of ancient roads and settlements. A remarkable place, surrounded by nice hiking trails - recommended if you are in Southern Sweden!

Ohh, I do know what this is. A tractor glowplug for preheating engines in winter by blasting them with fire 😁
I only know because Steve couldn't get his to work right.
Not sure what fuel this one is designed for. Oh wait, the tray is for pre-heating, so it must be kerosene or something less flammable than petrol, maybe diesel.

I am cleaning our attic storage, and found some mysterious things.
First, a brief case full of magnetic tapes of some bands albums and several sheets of paper cataloguing the bands, their albums etc. Potentially somebody could be interested in this?
Second, old Christmas ornaments, old rugs.
Third, a bird nest behind some old piles of planks and doors.

Is anyone in the business of replicating old playing card decks?
I have this set I brought for £3 at an antique store a few years back. This set is from around 1901 to 1910 as that is when Edward VII ruled, so it is over 110 years old.
I have a replica 1860s set too a big difference between the 1800s deck, this one and modern era decks is the corner numbers. 1800s decks had no numbers. The numbers on this one are smaller than modern ones.

The J.I. Case Threshing Machine Co., founded in 1842, revolutionized threshers by building steam-powered machines out of steel, instead of wood.

I know literally nothing about farm machinery but these ghosts of the farming past can be found at the Rimbey farm museum, which is a favourite stopping over point for my many road trips to northern Alberta to visit family.
I tried to find info on this model online but couldn't confirm what type of engine this one was running on.
The first photo shows "Old Abe," a bald eagle who was the mascot of the 8th Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry Regiment in the American Civil War.
Old Abe has a very interesting and lengthy Wikipedia page dedicated to him. That bird lived a full life!

Yes, I think it is. A slanted little church building in Aldersyde, with a slight attitude and a guard bird on its roof.
