We paused on our bookshop night out to Strawmoddie's Pratchett production of Going Postal to admire the Hogswatch tree in the Quad of Old College (not associated with the Unseen University).

Southbridge & Old College at dusk. This may look like a regular street, but those buildings either side actually go down several levels below the street (I used to have my office desk in one such subterranean chamber), while beneath the road itself, the haunted undercity of passages and vaults.

Edinburgh has many levels & layers, & twilight is when the Old Town's ghosts come out to play...
