This bill will presumably be heard by the senate soon, so now is the time to contact your state senator to urge a NO vote on this bill. Immigration is a federal not state issue.

Also, this legislation will invariably lead to racist profiling (any #Hispanic person in #Oklahoma would be subject to heightened scrutiny by law enforcement if this passes)

Excerpt: House #Republicans Vote to Protect Oklahomans from Illegal #Immigration Crisis (4/18): Speaker Charles McCall, R-Atoka, today received passage of House Bill 4156 by a vote of 77-20. The legislation, aimed at addressing the illegal immigration crisis, creates the crime of impermissible occupation. Details include:

• A person commits an impermissible occupation if the person willfully and without permission enters and remains in the State of Oklahoma without having first obtained legal authorization to enter the United States.
