Amongst his irrefutable #HallOffame career achievements, Simpson was first NFL running back to ever have a 2,000 rushing yard season. During his 1969-1977 run with the Bills, Simpson played in 6 Pro Bowl games and despite never making the Super Bowl, he led the entire league in rushing 4x (1972, 1973, 1975 and 1976) with his 1973 per-game rushing average of 143.1 yards still the NFL record. OJ was the NFL’s Player of the Year in 1972, 1973 and 1975, and he made consecutive All-Pro teams from 1972 to 1976.

30 years ago today was the OJ Bronco chase.
I was on tour with the Glassmen, my third season with the corps. I remember we were doing laundry that day, which is how we were near a TV and able to see the chase in real time. It was well before smart phones, so this was the only way we could see what was happening.
I’m trying to remember where we were that day. I’m assuming Wisconsin since we had a show in Oshkosh the next day, but it HAS been 30 years.
Anybody got a 94 tour schedule handy?

You're missing the point.INNOCENT RICH CELEBRITIES aren't being "framed" (and most poor innocents aren't being "framed" either. Just poorly defended.)
Wealthy Rich Celebrities like #OJ & T**** played on that mistrust to convince the gullible that "they too" are being "framed" "just like poor street urchins".
When in fact, no one is treated better or given more deference than the Rich & Famous.

Expecting OJ to slip skin-tight leather gloves OVER rubber gloves was beyond stupid.
EVEN AFTER that blunder, they didn't note how OJ didn't even hesitate to slip on the gloves used to brutally murder the mother of his children soaked in her blood.
They LITERALLY put his conviction in his hands.

🧵 (1/2) This illustrates just how BADLY the #OJ prosecutors presented their case (never believing someone with so much evidence against him & no alibi could avoid conviction.)They NEVER made the point that at the time evidence was supposedly planted, NO ONE KNEW WHERE #OJ WAS at the time of the murders. He could have been giving a speech before 100 people. If "evidence" linking him to a crime he could not has possibly committed turned up, the cops would have implicated themselves.

I saw the famous low-speed White Ford Bronco chase.
I had taken Amtrak up to LA to visit friends, spent the day in Little Tokyo, and when my friend came to pick me up, he told me what was going on. Traffic was insane. We were stuck on an overpass just as #OJ approached below us.
Little-reported factoid: following the cops was a phalanx of black guys on motorcycles. I have no idea what that was about.
