This #painting popped up on my Facebook feed tonight, it is a painting I #created in 1982 entitled, "It Is Part of Your Pay" and is based on a #sketch while #working as a #waiter at the Commonwealth Club in #RVA #oilsticks 42 years ago!

Spent the week before Bridget's #surgery working in my #studio on this Degas inspired #artwork of her stretching out her shoulder. See the progress here: https://youtu.be/_L2O9Ai8KPY?si=kALMJTqgP7BA3Tve #art #oilsticks #figurativeart

I had a blast #creating #art at @1708gallery's Monster Draw Rally today in #RVA The idea is to make as much #artwork you can in an hour #lifeofanartist #oilsticks #artonpaper #fundraiser

Ich hab versucht, das Papier als Teil der Zeichnung zu beherzigen. Gefällt mir ganz gut, aber bei so Solitären auch einfacher als in ner Landschaft.

Oilsticks on paper

This is a continuation of my homage series. I am using #arthistory and some of their compositional elements for my own art. This is a rift on Gustav Callibotte's "Floor Strippers" You can watch its creation over on my YouTube channel @artofcyclingGreig.

Starting a new #homage #painting points if you know the #artist and the #impressionist #artwork from #arthistory that I am referencing. #richesonart #oilsticks #figurativeart #figurativepainting #art

Getting close to finishing this #painting on a #rainyday. Being a fair weather #cyclists & #artist, (and a #cyclingartist) I should finish this one tomorrow, so time to start thinking about a title. #figurativeart #figurepainting #homage #touloselautrec #richeson75 #oilsticks #oilstickpainting

Gotta’ love working on a part of a #painting and then realizing “that was a bad idea”. Now I need to wait for the red sofa to dry, before I can resolve the color balance. #artinprogress #art #figurativeart #artmistake #richesonart #oilsticks

Another day in the #artstudio working on another in my #homage series. #oilsticks #figurativeart #art #artinprogress #painting

Starting a new #painting in the homage series. Can you recognize the #artwork and #artist that I am riffing off of? #oilsticks

Making some nice progress on this #painting in my #artstudio today. #figurativeart #commissionart #oilsticks #artinprogress

Just a tiny detail of the almost finished #newartwork #lemondrop #martini #painting #oilsticks #artinprogress #artonpaper #art #arte #kunst

Almost finished with my newest #artwork! An #abstractpainting of #martinis, #manhattans, #espressomartinis, #lemondrops, and #cosmos. All #created using #oilsticks on paper. #art #newart #arte #kunst

Moving along nicely on my newest #artwork utilizing #linocut #printing and #oilsticks on paper. I’m hoping to finish this week. #newart #artinprogress #cosmos #cosmopolitan #cocktails

Back in the #studio (#crazyhair edition), and working on a new #mixedmedia #painting combining #linocut and #oilsticks #cosmos #cosmopolitan #newart #artinprogress

I so appreciate all of the positive reactions to this new #painting. It means the world to me to have something new be so well received. Should have it finished by Monday. #newart #paintinginprogress #artinprogress #manhattans #paintstiks #oilsticks #linocut #mixedmedia

I love the thrill and panic of starting a #newpainting, got this as far as I could today. #massaging my wife’s feet is just one of the little things I do for her, I thought it was time to #paint it as well. #painting #oilsticks #paintstiks #newart #art #artwork #artiststudio #artstudio
