British Punk Trio Grade 2 Drops Blistering New Track

Fueled by fierce guitars and a pounding rhythm section, the track captures the sound of a band fighting to stay one step ahead in a time that feels “empty and cold.” The accompanying video, directed by Jason Link, strips everything back to raw, black-and-white stills of sweat and defiance from the band’s live shows.

The track explores themes of the solitary journey of seeking meaning, or “the lonely journey we all take… to remember who we are.” Fusing Oi! punk energy with bloopy new wave electronics and tight hooks, the song is a reflection on transformation and moving forward in “new skin,” a central theme of their acclaimed punk-pop crossover record.
