Is LibreOffice available for your tablet OS? If not, a service hosting the web version of OnlyOffice could be an option.

I use a hosted service at hub.iridescent.nz, which integrates NextCloud, for syncing folders and documents, with OnlyOffice for editing them in a browser.

I'm trying out OnlyOffice based on recommendations received here.

So far, I have had to manually uncheck 27 boxes in the installation UI. But I have a feeling (and the hope) the experience will be better in the actual product. 🤞
