Interessante Studie der Harward Business School: 96% jeglichen kommerziellen Codes enthält #opensource Komponenten. Das erzeugt einen finanziellen Mehrwert von 8.8 Billionen Dollar. Softwareentwicklung würde global also 3,5-mal mehr Kosten, wenn es keine OSS geben würde. Und 5% der OSS-Entwickler:innen erzeugen 96% dieses Mehrwertes in der Wirtschaft. #ofe #fosdem #fosdem2024
