  1. The math doesn’t work...

    ODSP: $1,368/month

Average 1-bedroom rent in Ontario: $2,200+/month

That leaves a deficit of $832 before food, medication, transportation, or phone bills.

Every ONSBT appeal is about more than paperwork...

    The stakes are survival !

  2. New research from 3mpwrApp

We analyzed how structural barriers in ONSBT disability appeals can exclude vulnerable communities before the hearing even begins.

Key finding: many people are not denied because they are ineligible—they are excluded by the process.

  3. New research from 3mpwrApp

We analyzed 13,798 Ontario Social Benefits Tribunal decisions from 2020–2026.

Our key finding: the public data reveals how the system works—but not whether it is fair.

  4. Well! December is here and today I opened an early Christmas present curtesy of the Ontario Disability Support Program (#ODSP).
On the 20th, I received an email telling me I had a letter waiting for me, but because I've been so busy with college I didn't have the chance to look. I checked my bank account today, and discovered I haven't received my ODSP payment for the month of December. So I checked the letter online and what does it say?"I am writing to you about your income support from the Ontario Disability Support Program
    (ODSP).
I am sorry to tell you we have put your file on hold as of November 17, 2025. Keep reading
    to find out:
why we put your file on hold
    what you can do next."
So why was my file put on hold? Apparently...
"We did not receive information about your earnings this month."
For context, I had a summer job. I alerted my case worker I would have a summer job, and I was very specific when it would start, and when it would end. She put a note in my file. When I reported my income, in my last email I specifically indicated it was the end of my time there. That was in August. It is now December. What I don't understand is why this is happening now, or indeed at all.

  7. Hard To Celebrate #Pride when you don't know if you have enough money to make it through the end of the month

#NDP and #Liberal will celebrate the colours of June ... but ignore us begging for help!

  8. I'm a #HousingFirst success story. Been #homeless twice for a total of 2 years. In my 2nd year at a @hopecornerstone shelter, I found out my application was never sent to the city the year before. I was assigned a #CMHA social worker in January 2017. By June, I had a #CCOC apartment with a 'Home 4 Good' monthly benefit; by the fall, I was on #ODSP; by the end of year, I'd quit cigarettes. I couldn't work anymore but was able to retire (way before 65) without losing my home again. Still poor.

  9. #ODSP is literally financial regulation. You can't receive more than $10,000 in monetary"gifts" annually. What if everything I owned were washed away in a flood and I needed to put up a GoFundMe to get back on my feet?
I don't see limitations like this imposed on "normal" people.
The system literally punishes us for being #disabled. It assumes we need to be regulated.

  10. Today is the International Day of Persons With Disabilities. Please pen a short email/letter to your MPP and @[email protected] @[email protected] Request this government recognize that #PWDs are people, deserving respect, dignity, and a living benefit. #ODSP must be reformed & ⬆️ now.
