Currently working on a "blind tracker" mode for the Drumlogue, so besides playback of #protracker and #octamed, it can also edit the file directly on the device. The issue is; there is no front panel access for feedback. I can only use parameters to change mode, channels, etc. but even row is an issue in a way if I step... as the parameter is one-way. Suggestions are welcome

Web-based tracker: WebTracker creates Amiga MODs

WebTracker (also known as "MusicTracker") is a tracker inspired by Octamed that runs in a web browser and exports MODs in ProTracker format (demo installation).

@yawning_angel @RobSmithDev Thanks for the excellent video, François is such a great personality!

Spent quite a few nights and weekends with the marvels that were #AMOS and AMOS Pro, as well as gems like #OctaMED and #DeluxePaint. Good times!

I just made a short video tutorial of how to set up #MIDI (midi out only in this case) on #octamed. I am using the #MSSIAH cartridge on my #C64 and using OctaMED 5 as the midi sequencer along with #Amiga samples.

Check it out here: https://youtu.be/1tURJ2z3sVc

Added the mod/med player code to my web effects tester. Will soon publish this!

#octamed

... and integrated into my VCV Rack module

#octamed

... success!

#amiga #octamed

Finally renders correctly ...

In justice.med I had an issue from block 36 -> 0 -> 3 that did not handle the volume correctly. Therefore, echo/reverb like effects did not work. Thje signal is still TOO hot (0.5x should be applied).

Overall, I am happy now. This renders it cleaner than libopenmpt does (modplug). So I can finally file a bug-report as I can prove there is an issue.

Anyone has a nice set/archive of modules, like techno, acid, trance, classics, whatever... of a good quality, either in #Protracker, #octamed or other format. Need stuff to test my regroover application.

Here's a question for #OctaMED #MEDStudio users - please do chime in or hit me up directly if you've got some ideas. https://www.reddit.com/r/renoise/comments/1n34349/which_octamed_features_do_you_miss_during_your/

@mathr Hi! glad to find someone who spent time tweaking #octamed :) i have been collecting and studying #AREXX scripts to find new ideas - am converting them to #LUA for #renoise and your idea sounds interesting, do you have a direct aminet link or sourcecode i could take a look at? I have added dozens of features from #PlayerPro #octamed #protracker #impulsetracker #pollytracker #modplugtracker #openmpt #madtracker etc into my add-on for Renoise, #paketti. Always looking 4 more.

@jabsonik absolutely! This is one reason why i am scripting old #octamed / #protracker etc features into #renoise into my tool #paketti.

@bearwalker i have been scripting #octamed features into #renoise. So if there are specific ones you are looking to use, please describe them and ill have a look. #lua #paketti #tracker

Let's get started with an #introduction !

Hi, I am Florian, a #Xennial doing #MusicComposition since I had a #CircleOfFifths-epiphany at school. Around the same time, I started playing #guitar and #piano .

I got started with #MusicProduction on the #CommodoreAmiga with #OctaMED , moved to #Cubase and #Samplitude , did some experimenting with #Ardour on #LinuxAudio , and ended up in #AbletonLive . I used to run a small #RecordingStudio , but switched to a different day job.
