I hope this update's gonna make it more #userFriendly. I wasn't able to use it because of this, so I used #ocenaudio. I'd like to switch to a #FOSS #alternative.
Regarding the #logo, there's still enough time for them to #change it, as the #release is planned for #2026. After all, they're #communityBased, no? Thus, they should #listen to their #users…

Yesterday at the #Aktivkongress I co-hosted a workshop about #MediaProduction with #FreeSoftware and #OpenSource focusing on #audio and #music creation, editing and mixing.

@phil and me introduced fundamentals on #acoustics and talked about the #AlgoRave genre, for example. Additionally, we referred to #meetings and annually #events such as #OSAMC, #LinuxAudioConference, and the international #Sonoj convention in #Cologne at October, 7th & 8th this year https://sonoj.org

is there an open source or free audio recorder that supports #WASAPI loopback recording in #Windows, has the ability to easily add multiple markers while recording and is NOT #audacity ? #ocenaudio supports WASAPI but does not provide the loopback devices audacity does. I know I can install something like VB-Audio or banana, but I'm trying to reduce the number of all these misc drivers and apps needed to simply record audio from an app.

Anybody know of a #macOS (#AppleSilicon) pure #AudioEditor (not a #DAW) - preferable free (lol I have no money!)

I was looking forward to #Tenacity, but they're abandoning macOS because they have no devs with a Mac to help them (quick read, didn't dig too deep.)
#WavePad is super expensive and #OcenAudio doesn't like some files I just tried in it.
