All that Yukon swimming has inspired me to explore the open water swimming spots in our area. Last week's spot: Manley Creek Park, just across the water from Salt Spring Island. I'd forgotten how much more buoyant one is in salt water. I'd also somehow forgotten how very, very, 'how is this water not solid' cold the Pacific Ocean is, even on the east side of the island. #swimming #OceanSwimming #CowichanValley
