I’m at re:Invent this week for work. Yesterday I had some time between customer meetings so decided to do a touristy thing since I’ve never been to Vegas before.
Obligatory selfieLooking south towards The StripLooking roughly NWI’ve been up 5Looking N towards Gass PeakTall MANGass PeakI think the oddest part was how empty it was. No lines, and outdoor observation deck was completely empty when I first got there. I guess time of year/time of day?
Compared to the updated Space Needle the unobstructed views are nice but you can’t do a scary look down or lean on glass photo. Great desert and mountain vistas looking beyond the city.
Kinda surprised their height diagram hasn’t been updated for newer taller towers worldwide but they want it to seem more impressive.
I didn’t go on any of the rides on top; we’d previously watched the videos and too scary.
