Enthemmte Gewalt, steigende Fallzahlen – Betroffenenberatungsstellen fordern Konsequenzen
Die unabhängigen Betroffenenberatungsstellen #OBR und #BackUp haben heute ihre Jahresstatistik rechter, rassistischer und antisemitischer Gewalt in Nordrhein-Westfalen veröffentlicht. Die Zahlen für das Jahr 2025 zeichnen ein alarmierendes Bild: Mit 623 dokumentierten rechten Angriffen wurde der historische Höchststand des Vorjahres (seit Erfassung durch die Opferberatungsstellen) erneut überschritten. 724 Menschen wurden unmittelbar Opfer rechter Gewalt. Damit setzt sich eine Entwicklung fort, die die Beratungsstellen seit mehreren Jahren beobachten: Rechte, rassistische und antisemitische Gewalt verfestigt sich in Nordrhein-Westfalen auf einem alarmierend hohen Niveau.

@dompates Burnham isn't the saviour we're waiting for. UK govt is locked into economic liberalism by the #OBR, i.e. we'd need to rebel against it to make any real economic changes.
ATM, Burnham is all hot air & no substance, giving PR-agency style speeches with no clear answers or policies.

Heute bei der Geschäftsstelle letzte formale Fragen zur Votenabstimmung klären und dann geht die auch endlich raus.
Ich finde sehr spannend, dass jeder OBR sein eigenes System hat. Jedes funktioniert natürlich. Aber das es so viele Systeme gibt erklärt, warum man so wenig Informationen über Abläufe in der Kommunalpolitik findet. Und es macht es Neulingen schwer, sich Übersicht zu verschaffen. -
Die Berichterstattung zu den #epsteinfiles dreht sich weiterhin fast ausschließlich um die Täter.
Aber was ist mit den Opfern? Wie geht es diesen Kindern, deren Fotos wir in den Akten finden können? Wie geben wir als Gesellschaft ihnen den Schutz und die Hilfe, den sie brauchen, um mit dem, was mit ihnen gemacht wurde, leben zu können?Die Antwort auf einen weltweiten Vergewaltigungsring muss doch weltweite Solidarität mit den Opfern sein.

Ich fände es ja deutlich wichtiger, die Aufenthaltsqualität von Menschen an der Ecke zu verbessern und würde, wenn, dann damit argumentieren. Aber so hat jede:r eigene Prioritäten und manchen ist offenbar wichtiger, dass es Autos gut geht als denen, die an der Ecke wohnen oder zu Fuß, per Bus oder mit dem Rad da durch kommen.

No, the greatest failure in the last 15 years has been the continued & repeated over-estimate of productivity growth & the subsequent correction, before (again) over-estimating its growth for the next cycle... now that *really* is a failure!

As ever note that most immigration is via work/study/dependant visa route (which is a fact at variance with public perception) incurring huge visa charges including an eye-watering NHS surcharge.
Don’t @ me about GDP, I’m just pointing out that there is probably an easy win here for what you might call rational politics contra ethno-nationalism if you have the rhetorical skill (which I don’t) and are a politician (which I am not).

"The Economic Impact of Brexit" performs a ‘Brexit audit’, and takes the Office of Budget Responsibility’s (OBR) view of the economic impact – that withdrawal would reduce productivity, and thus GDP by about 4 per cent compared to a Remain scenario; trade by about 15 per cent, and have a sizeable impact on investment and a smaller one on losses of GDP stemming from lower net migration.
The predictions 'have been borne out'.
