Middletown, #Ohio, where JD Vance is from, summer camp saved after federal funding paused

A summer camp program serving disadvantaged children in Middletown will continue after a $60,000 donation, keeping the program running through July 25.
The Community Building Institute's (CBI) summer camp was set to end early when the U.S. Department of Education temporarily paused federal funds that support the program.
"We lost $600,000 in funding ... out of the $200,000 that we have per grant, we are allowed to hold or host summer camp activities," said Verlena Stewart, executive director of CBI

Combien de temps encore aurons-nous un gouvernement efficace capable de percevoir des impôts lorsque c’est nécessaire ? Le DOGE d’Elon Musk n’a pas permis de mettre au jour des cas significatifs de gaspillage, de fraude et d’abus, mais il a dégradé le fonctionnement du gouvernement fédéral et démoralisé des centaines de milliers de fonctionnaires. Les républicains ont fait tout leur possible pour démanteler l’IRS et rendre l’évasion fiscale à nouveau populaire. Même si le contrôle du gouvernement revient finalement à des personnes qui veulent gouverner le pays plutôt que le piller, il faudra des années pour retrouver la compétence en matière de perception des impôts et d’autres fonctions gouvernementales banales, que nous considérions autrefois comme acquises.
La chute du dollar indique que les investisseurs étrangers perdent confiance dans l’Amérique. Mais je ne pense pas qu’ils réalisent pleinement, même aujourd’hui, que le risque d’une crise de la dette américaine est beaucoup plus élevé aujourd’hui qu’il ne l’était lorsque les républicains dénonçaient les déficits d’Obama.

Penny would be dead if not for our rural hospital, there is no question about it. She barely made it there alive and then, already incubated.
According to her chart, she arrived at our nearest rural #AppalachianOhio ER at 6:53 by ambulance and was in life saving surgery by 6:57.
