In #Oakland, #ACTransit does not like speed cushions, for example, resulting in vehicles speeding on bus lanes.
BRT line was designed in a way which increased traffic deaths.
We're working on solutions to problems, AC Transit, #OakDOT, fire department, etc, but it is not an easy process

We also argued that we shouldn't need a pandemic to use simple design interventions to make our streets safer for bike and pedestrian uses! In fact we are living through an epidemic of #trafficviolence, and should respond with street interventions just like this. Glad to see #OakDOT bringing them back through safe street design.
