Leur ai un peu glissé l'idée, via des échanges avec le support, mais ils m'ont orienté vers le groupe Facebook, qui est juste un mur de complaintes stérile, loin de ce qu'on pourrait faire de constructif.
Je peux tenter un message plus clair, mais c'est sûr que, autant je connais plutôt bien leurs services (client depuis trèèès longtemps), autant je ne suis pas compétent pour aider sur des aspects techniques. Donc seul, je risque de ne pas créer une super dynamique.

Bon, le travail de l'association avec l'offre cloud de #o2switch c'est pas gagné : pas de possibilité de créer des groupes ou des équipes, partages individuels (si tu veux faire un partage interne avec plusieurs membres, il fait le faire membre par membre)...😭

Me demande comment on fait pour lancer une communauté d'utilisateurs d'un service payant. En l'occurrence #o2switch chez qui j'ai amené plusieurs clients dont je m'occupe des services, dont je suis ultra content, mais quand ça coince, il n'ya a que le support (ultra réactif et ultra sympa). Parfois, je suis sûr que ce serait utile d'avoir aussi une communauté d'utilisateurs (il y a un groupe facebook, mais je vais plus chez facebook).

Whether or not the platforms promote freedom and open source (Mastodon, Odysee, BitChute, Ghost.io, Vimeo, Twitch, YouTube), all of them without exception state in their terms of service that disputes must be resolved in foreign jurisdictions. It doesn’t matter that they advocate for user privacy or net neutrality. Their U.S. legal base is enough to activate the DMCA... a law that assumes you’re guilty before you’ve even had the chance to defend yourself. The result is inevitable: there is only one viable solution for those who wish to preserve their rights and survive this digital chaos... Work exclusively with providers based in France or Europe. That’s the only way to remain under a legal framework we understand, recognize, and can actually enforce.

What might seem like a paranoid fantasy is now our operational doctrine. We spent weeks looking for a sustainable solution. GoDaddy has now been replaced by a two-part setup: OVH for domain names, and o2switch for hosting. Why? Because despite OVH’s weak customer service, their DNS is reliable. And o2switch is a rare gem... a French company, bound by French law, with real human support, and no interest in exploiting your data. Their model is simple, fair, and unlimited. While competitors charge for every byte as if it were gold, o2switch provides powerful tools, solid infrastructure, and a win-win philosophy. Even better: their WordPress support is widely praised by the community. Thanks to this change, we can now host our own videos previously uploaded to YouTube, using WordPress plugins with secure players. The so-called alternatives to YouTube, even those advocating for openness, are all U.S.-based. o2switch is a rare find... a real asset for digital sovereignty, allowing us to continue existing without sacrificing our values or sinking deeper into debt.

Twitch has been replaced by Owncast, hosted on Hetzner Cloud (Germany) for just €3.79/month, with simple installation. Captivate is replaced by Podlove, a WordPress plugin, which lets us centralize content and simplify navigation. ChatGPT is replaced by Le Chat Mistral, the only AI neither American nor Asian. Windows is phased out in favor of Nobara Linux, backed by a strong open-source community and compatible with nearly all modern games. Kdenlive replaces paid video editing software. Logitech peripherals are supported. Elgato is out... replaced by Loupedeck, a better fit for Linux with hardware-level controls. Why does this all matter? Because if your website is hosted on servers physically located in France, your opponents must use French law to come after you. No more DMCA. No more California courtrooms. If a U.S. company wants to take down your content or claim ownership, they’ll have to go through French courts, under French law, with all the procedural safeguards that entails. In short, this technical migration is a legal survival strategy. A way to reclaim our infrastructure, our freedom of speech, and our digital future. As long as your platform is hosted in the U.S., you are at their mercy. But by bringing our data home to France, we regain our sovereignty.

Votre avis sur les mails #o2switch ?
Tout allait bien depuis des années mais j'ai des pb avec leur antispam depuis 3 mois : une dizaine de messages entrants avec un haut score spam ont été directement DETRUITS par l'antispam plutôt que placés dans ma boîte à spams. Plusieurs expéditeurs se sont plaints à moi que je ne leur répondais pas. Je viens de désactiver leur antispam, il est en train de me rendre fou 😬 Je ne comprends pas que cette fonctionnalité de destruction auto ne soit pas réglable.

@blobster @daj @hryggrbyr can confirm, Gandi went to hell after being acquired by #TWS and I started moving my stuff elsewhere. Apparently #o2switch just suffered the same fate.

@cachem Que l'offre unique n'est plus vraiment unique 😂 En tout cas, pas de renouvellement pour ma part, pour mon usage #infomaniak sera bien moins cher, et surement tout aussi bien.

Depuis 3 jours ma synchro agenda/contact ne fonctionne plus (TB et Android). Une fois connecté à mon cPanel dans Agendas, je vois quoi ?
Agenda (et contact itou) migré, les URL ont changées !!!
Mais d'ou des PRO qui facturent, pas un particulier hein ou une asso, n'avertissent pas (même après coup !) qu'ils font les zazous avec les adresses des agendas, d'ou bourdayl !!!???
Ou est le service/côté humain de O2Switch maintenant ?

Les clients de l'hébergeur Web o2Switch ont eu la surprise de recevoir un mail les informant d'une augmentation tarifaire conséquente. L'offre unique, c'est fini et le moins qu'on puisse dire, c'est que malgré des performances boostées, ça ne plait pas à tout le monde.

Après avoir pourri #gandi, #TWS vient de pourrir #o2switch 🤬

Sous couvert de réorganisation de l'offre commerciale, il va falloir payer deux fois plus cher pour garder des performances équivalentes 💸
Ce changement se fait évidemment par défaut, même s'il reste possible de basculer manuellement vers une offre inférieure

Va falloir se coller à analyser les concurrents et planifier une migration dans les mois à venir 🙄

@brab je suis très en colère contre #o2switch . Plus que doubler le tarif et migrer automatiquement les clients sur cette offre, sans concertation préalable, c'est une pratique commerciale que je trouve très déloyale.

Je ne sais pas si elle est illégale, peut-être pas. En tout cas, c'est une méthode que je trouve vraiment détestable. Je n'ai pas mes noms de domaine chez eux, ce qui me facilite une éventuelle migration malgré mon manque d'expertise. J'envisage fortement de mettre un terme à mon abonnement.

PS : si quelqu'un a un concurrent français à me suggérer...

J’aime bien #o2switch, c’est un hébergement pas cher (100,80 € TTC par an, soit 7 € HT par mois). Et là ils nous annoncent que l’offre unique sera déclinée en 3, au coût de 7 €, 16 € et 24 € HT par mois. Jusque là pas de souci (on peut payer plus pour avoir plus de performances). Mais le problème est que pour nous "remercier", notre offre unique est migrée vers celle à 16 €. Donc oui c’est mieux cette année, mais ce sera plus cher à renouveler ou il ne faudra pas oublier de changer d’offre

Et bim hein ! #O2Switch qui nous décline l'offre unique en .... 3 offres uniques : Grow, Cloud et Pro....

Les historiques basculent en Cloud, nouveau tarif (hors promo) 16 € HT mensuel...🤬

Bon ben déjà, je vire O2switch de mes deux supports de formation maintenant. Je ne parlerais plus d'eux ni n'en ferais la promo.

On commence à bien sentir les effets du rachat hein !
