Just catching up on today's #NZPol #NZQT

Chippy: Is it cheaper or more expensive to go to the supermarket for the average family now than when he became PM?
Luxon: There's lower levels of inflation... I do find it a bit curious we have the LOTO calling for something called deflation... that is really bad for an economy....
Chippy: Then why did his govt promise to lower the cost of living and lower grocery prices?

Yup, all they have is to lie and insult anyone who dares call them out or oppose them.

I use to enjoy watching #NZQT but it has become impossible to view. Speaker, Gerry Brownlee, has become an embarrassment to himself and the parliament of NZ by allowing the government’s behaviour to decline to childish name calling and personal attacks in the house.

Yesterday we had Winston Peters, being repeatedly echoed by Shane Jones, calling an opposition MP a moron for believing the Global Tobacco Control rankings, going on to discredit #RNZ for reporting on this hugely embarrassing drop in NZ’s anti-smoking policies and taxes resulting in an, albeit small, increase in NZ youth tobacco consumption for the first time in over 20 years.

I've been noticing just how rattled #Luxon has been getting at #NZQT lately. He's responding to questions like a broken talking dummy that just spouts out dumb shit repetitively and then sits back down in a huff like a spoiled brat who's been refused another piece of cake. I'm sensing the opposition smell blood and are going to pump up the volume.

Shane Jones comes to Nicola Willis' defense by accusing Julie Anne Genter of making wild and indiscriminate claims about Mainfreight Managing Director Don Braid saying not having rail enabled ferries will be inefficient and more costly for a business like his & would lead to Mainfreight adding 5,000 truck & trailer journeys per year further deteriorating the country's roading network.

Unusually, I watched/listened to much of #NZQT today. It appeared to be very triggering for Captain Cluxon, the Minister of Tobacco and the Minister of Disciplining Children.
