A thought for NYC Sanitation. If you want wider adoption of compostable waste disposal, then perhaps you ought to make the pickup times the same as regular trash. The stinkiest part of trash is probably compostable material, so it makes sense to get rid of it as soon as possible. Since they got rid of the fines, my landlord has given up on compost. He put the brown can in storage. Apparently people at one of his other properties was putting out really stinky garbage. #nycproblems
