Nice out! Mel has taken dogs on an epic 30km route so I just went for a (much shorter) doggo free walk! #NWales

Had fun at the local little #installfest style event I ran at a makerspace. Lots of machines tinkered with. One absolute beginner chose to put #Manjaro on this Asus which, despite a pretty mediocre processor worked really well and was pretty zippy. Plenty of #Xubuntu installs also and a #Debian. #Linux #endof10 #NWales

Just back from a hot lap on the bike. A section of the Lon Las trail near me has been closed for a while whilst they added a new cattle bridge. The awesome thing is that this replaces about 6 annoying gates! #biketooter #nwales

Been incredibly busy this week, some very cool stuff in the pipes. Nice today though to get home and go out for a bimble with the doggos. Some snow on the mountains making for nice views. #nwales #eryri

Had a fabulous time last night running a "Numbers, Knots and Navigation" workshop here in #NWales. We explored lots of bits and bobs (roamers and grid references etc) and then focused in on making #paracord pacer bead sets. The idea is you work out your average paces per 100 meters and then use these sliding beads to keep a tally. Useful for navigation on bearing in poor visibility. Also a super handy knot that can replace any cinch toggle! #knots #knotoftheday (retro hash iykyk) #making

So I use @inkscape for loads of stuff and products.. I genuinely think it's the #opensource glue that holds makerspaces together! It can be used to design for #lasercutting, sublimation, printing, #CNC routing and milling, CNC embroidery, vinyl cutting and loads more. I'm running a beginners workshop on Inkscape on the 14th at the #Ffiws #Porthmadog #Makerspace 6-8.30 pm. Nipped up Gyrn which is a nice local mountain (biggish hill really). Nettle did some good posing and on the way back down we met some wild Carneddau ponies and a foel, stood with them for a while listening to a cuckoo. #Wales #NWales
