Ich habe jetzt 3x #NvidiaShield hier rumliegen und nun weiß ich auch nicht. 😅

Ein paar Beobachtungen:

• Die Teile sind alle von 2019 und haben eine super Performance verglichen mit anderen aktuellen Streaming-Sticks oder Boxen.
• #Android bzw. #AndroidTV ist auf Version 11, daher gibt es leider keine komplett automatischen Updates durch nachinstallierte Stores wie #FDroid.
• Updates durch #Nvidia scheint es trotzdem noch ab und an zu geben.
• Google-Login lässt sich durch einen Trick umgehen.
• #LineageOS ist offiziell für alle Geräte verfügbar (die Nicht-Pro-Röhre muss man physisch hacken), aber...
• ... es entfallen dann viele proprietäre Funktionen. Kann auch aber egal sein, wenn ihr nur freie Apps nutzt und kein Dolby Vision und AI Upsacling braucht.
• #HEVC wird dekodiert, #AV1 nicht. Reicht mir.
• Normales Nvidia Shield TV (Röhre) von 2019 nutzt nur ein 32-Bit-Android, was kacke ist, wenn man bestimmte Apps nutzen will.
• Leistung reicht zum Zocken via #Emulation bis zur #Dreamcast.

Brauche ich, um das DTS-Signal beim Abspielen mit #Plex auf meinen #Reciever durchzuschleifen, zwangsweise ein Gerät mit DTS-Zertifizierung oder ist das beim Durchschleifen des #Audio-Signals egal? I find it odd that anyone not in the #Apple ecosystem would purchase an #AppleTV. I steer the budget-conscious towards #Roku and everyone else to #NvidiaShieldTV. Still, this is a very user-hostile move to make, cutting off users simply because they aren't enough of your customer. Well this is creepy. My wife has been reporting problems using #Pandora on our #NvidiaShieldTV recently, so I decided to go look at the logs in #AdGuardHome to see if there's any #DNS #filtering going on. Let's just say I was a bit surprised that the Pandora app on our phones was regularly and constantly attempting to beacon back to the stats collection server despite it not being actively used there for weeks or months. I think I'm going to go ahead and purge it now. There is absolutely zero reason for it to be phoning home in the background when not in use. #privacy

Washing machine and dryer alerts have been a hit (even if the "yo, shit's wet" notification that popped up on the tv in the middle of an emotional scene in The Batman kinda threw the mood a bit).

"Coffee's ready" alerts need a little recalibrating. The #Aqara temp sensor is great, but my naive algorithm for detecting the right amount of temperature and humidity change from the moka pot is firing them off a bit early.

Done a few custom HA dashboards, latest is one for adjusting the lights via scenes and an automation and another fully replicates the remote controls for the 2 #nvidiashieldtv units.

Ordering some parts to #arduino up a remote for the #somfy blinds.

Off to IKEA this morning for a couple of #tradfri switches. A shame they don't do bayonet globes.

Still haven't figured out zone entry by phone Bluetooth signature. Coming soon hopefully
