  1. I've read Many Voices, One Song. A comprehensive overview of the organizational method called sociocracy. Interesting, very actionable and integrates well with other traditions I relate to: systems theory, organizations where all voices matter, non-violent communication, cooperative movements, iterative/agile methods. I recommend it and wish more organizations would adopt this framework.

  2. It's usually a cock-up, not a conspiracy.

Human beings are generally very stupid, and only achieve anything through trial and error and an ever-growing degree of specialisation.

If we don't have a standard of expecting errors to have been made in good faith, firstly the detail of the errors goes uncorrected, and secondly conflicts are assumed to be Machiavellian manipulations for private interests. #NVC #PleaseExplain

  3. I am a working psychotherapist with training in psychoanalysis, gestalt therapy, nonviolent communication (NVC), and Tai Chi Chuan and Zen. Until 2005 I worked in the business world, consulting to help organizations large and small with their operations.

We are all connected. Let's experience a better life.

  5. I love this piece from Marianne van Dijk's newsletter about Request Blind Spots. It's not just hard to ask for help, sometimes we don't even realise we can.

  6. Marshall B. Rosenberg is the founder of Non-Violent Communication (NVC).

He was striving for more peace in this world. He died in 2015, but maybe his words and ideas might still influence us in a good way. 🙏

  7. "The first step in handling our anger ... is to be conscious that the stimulus of our anger is not the cause of our anger ... it isn't simply what people do that makes us angry, but it's something within us in response to that, that is really the cause of the anger."
