I didn't know about the #nurseStrike in #nyc until today
But I was at the Farmers market and all of a sudden I saw these red capped red scarves people walking down the street and it was clear they were going somewhere and my buddy told me
So I gave them a solidary fist as they passed by
And then I had a nice conversation with someone who was complimenting my dog
He told me it was because at least in part due to AI and then saying it is taking their jobs which it probably is because hospital administrators are fucking sociopaths that don't care if more people die
It's like saying yes AI will definitely help medicine So here let me invest in all of these cars
What they're calling AI and the AI that will be helpful in medicine are two different types of AI and the type of AI that they are advocating ((yeah get that f****** b****)Sorry I'm watching the Nazi genocide blonde in #andor get dragged by the mob... This is a good show to be watching in these times)
Anyway the AI that they are justifying getting rid of people for is exactly the wrong AI it's the AI that gives wrong answers half the time

Yesterday some #NHS #Nurses saved my son's life, yes during their strike.
So I worked out that if the Nurses had received the same rate of pay rise as the MPs over the last 10yrs the start rate for band 5 would have risen from £21,176 to £27,105 not the £25,655 as it is now.
I think that % pay rises simply maintain inequality. To 'Level Up' we should all have the same rise. In that case their pay would £39,582 and worth every last penny. -

This IS important because there are 40k nurses short, and patient safety is now being affected. One of the reasons is due to poor pay which has meant that unregistered nurses and some newly registered get more working in supermarkets in the 4 countries of the UK than working for the #NHS, who pays via taxation and social security contributions.

@arevvik It's not only about #nursestrike and money. Having a relative in the hospital, I've seen on my own eyes how much overloaded #nhs staff is. They work in front-like conditions, with brutal #triage techniques, limited #diagnostic resources and high rate of errors as a result.
