We've just appointed a new clinical director for our organisation who's a #NursePractitioner. I'm pretty stoked how supportive our CEO is around #NurseLed healthcare services. We're a fairly small NGO that now has 4 NPs working in our services. That's relatively unique.

@stevenshayman It is so frustrating that this is still true. If you’re already unwell enough to be seeking out a doctor, you often don’t have the energy to be your own advocate. But med school seems designed to weed out people who might bring different POVs and experiences that could change this. I often have better interactions with #NursePractitioner and #PhysiciansAsssistant types than actual #doctors.
