Ymmärrän, että radan varrella (R juna) #hinnat ei laske, mutta miksi mestoissa kuten #Nurmijärvi, #Vihti, #Myrskylä ja #Mäntsälä ne eivät laske, vaan nousevat, ja mestoissa kuten Porvoo, Hanko, Sipoo, Raasepori ja Loviisa hinnat ovat laskeneet?
Em. jos jotkut on mielestäni nukkumalähiön imagon omaavia, jälkimmäiset (no Sipoo on kyllä nukkumalähiö, heh!) omaavat mielestäni ihan eri imagonkin.

Yay, #Mattila Farm in #Nurmijärvi are bringing back their #fishNChips! One of the best in #Finland (second only to Belge). If they’ve kept to their previous recipe the fish and batter is crisp and fresh, none of that breadcrumb nonsense you frequently see here. They have mushy peas. They had least occasionally had malt vinegar. The chips are not real chips, but still pretty decent and nicely salted.
It’s at a farmhouse in the countryside, surrounded by strawberry fields. Also artisan pizzas.

What a lovely #aikido practise. The mayor of #Nurmijärvi came to visit our @Ryushinkan dojo in #Rajamäki to give it a go. She was all smiles afterwards and everyone had a fun time.

Near where I live, in #Rajamäki, #Nurmijärvi, there is #beer #brewery that is unique in creating beer especially for #fineDining and #Michelin star restaurants. #DoGoodBrew beers are created to be paired with specific menus currently in Finnish restaurants but they are also working with international restaurants. They are the only brewery specifically targeting fine dining. Interestingly they’re located in the old #Alko factory building.

If anyone wants a free lesson in the beautiful Japanese katana sword art of #iaido, it’s possible tomorrow in #Klaukkala #Nurmijärvi at 1pm. Regular indoor sports clothing is enough. The lesson is lead by #ErkkiYlimäki, 2nd Dan. Kuonomäentie 2, Klaukkala Budo space (library building, by the R Kiosk). For focus and precision.

For probably the best #fishnchips in Finland (and I’ve tried many) I recommend #MattilaCafe in #Nurmijarvi. Wonderful environment at a farm with local produce. Good, crisp fish and mushy peas. Chips are not the double thick style you get in the UK, but at least decent country style. Last year they even had malt vinegar (I will aim to get them to bring that back).
