#LarryTheCat #Number10Cat appears to have been banned from Twitter/X: https://x.com/Number10cat 😡 He was by far the best thing remaining on Elon Musk's hellsite.
But Larry is still active on Bluesky at https://bsky.app/profile/number10cat.bsky.social
And a campaign appears to be emerging to put #Larry on a banknote.

Today is the 15th anniversary of the start of the reign of the greatest living Englishman: #LarryTheCat, aka #Number10Cat.
The humans who aspire to rule #BrexitIsland lack both Larry's intelligence and his tenacity. Larry has seen off Cameron, May, Johnson, Truss, and Sunak. The sixth impostor, #Starmer, is on the way out.

The UK Foreign Office's former Chief mouser #Palmerston has died in Bermuda, where he moved in 2020 after retiting as #diplocat. 😞
https://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2026/feb/14/cat-chief-mouser-uk-foreign-office-dies-bermuda-palmerstonOutranked by the great Larry the #Number10Cat, prolific tweeter Palmerston was a disreputable cat, named after the infamous Foreign Secretary and Prime Minister Lord Palmerston. The original Palmerston is best known in Ireland as a cruel landlord in famine-ravaged #Sligo, and globally for starting the appalling #OpiumWars in China.

I'm a bit concerned about Larry. In the last day various newspapers have all covered the story of how Number 10 will handle the announcement of his death (Code: “Larry bridges”). Is there something which we need to know?

Now Starmer has to have an interview with Larry the Cat to see if he is a suitable housemate before he moves into number 10.

@lienrag Unfortunately in the UK the Prime Minister is appointed by the political party in power rather than being elected by the population a a whole.
If the PM was directly elected I'd nominate "Larry the Cat" who lives in 10 Downing street :)
