That’s what I’ve been saying all along! #water is a scarce commodity. Ergo nuke plants are not welcome here!

Wet dream or Trumpian strategy ?(Oh no, I might have inadvertently given DJT too much credence here). I believe that potato head is not that stupid. I think he knows full well that it is a brainfart and while the bad smell will hang around for as long as he fans it, that's all that will come of it whatever happens in May25 IMO.

Question is now, why is he doing this? To what ends, if any at all except to sow discord and mayhem not only in the electorate (with the election coming up) but within his party coalition as well.

1) Public discourse on Nuclear power generation will keep the electorate too busy arguing to pay atttention to the important differences between political canditates and so minimise the loss of LNP votes through defections to IND. The strategy also may cause some delays in decarbonisation initiatives/investments -- an electioneering stick to whip Labor with.

2) By confusing the shit out of his coalition colleagues, potato head smothers any serious criticism of his leadership until after the next election (if LNP doesn't win govt, and it won't, my bet is Dutton will retire from politics sometime after and seek to become the 'Keating' and 'Little Johnny' of the LNP).

These are the only things that make sense to me at this stage of the game - because, unfortunately, politics is but a game to these perennial politicians (idealistic aspirants soon get the wind knocked out of them in Parliament).
