Sadly noone made something similar that comes in the form factor of my #X230Tablet or smaller with like fully upgradeable RAM & SSD as well as toolfree swappable batteries.
Even the #Framework seems to be a regression in that part...

But yeah, I could just put #OS1337 on like a USB flashdrive and boot that or if I'm extra lazy use something like #Ventoy so I don't need to reflash stuff but can just drag & drop any image onto.

@standev TBH, @frameworkcomputer do a pretty decent job considering the compareatively low funding and good price for their hardware.

I wish I had the €€€€€ to get the #NUCbook off the ground even if that'll be a very CHONKY BOI but even if we assume we only want #Apple-esque #SoC's even that could've been designed upgradeable like the @Raspberry_Pi #CM3+ & #CM4 have shown...

On the other hand it depends on your useage type and the cargind and discharging controls whether a #LithiumIon / #LithiumPolymer battery becomes a #DangerPillow.

Personally, I prefer #ToolFree #Swappable #Batteries to the point that I'm really looking into finding #LiFePO4 cells and a proper charging/discharging / BMS to use it as a #battery for the #NUCbook.

But that's just me trying a project that needs 6+ digits on 2- digits.

@mho yeah, that is a common trend.
#Tech nowadays is only being designed to last for the warranty & support period, and after 5 years, even premium laptop makers like #hp, #Dell, #Lenovo & #Apple will refuse to sell their overpriced parts unless thez randomly happen to still have spares in storage.
I hope @frameworkcomputer will do it better, but considering that even their stuff is a #Downgrade from my #X230t I'll have to build the #NUCbook!
