H/T Michael Wulder |Senior Research Scientist at Natural Resources Canada
“Canada is a forest nation. Its forests are spatially extensive, ecologically diverse, and of global importance. While national level forest statistics are used for international reporting and comparison, they often fail to reflect the distinctive structure and stewardship context of Canada’s forest estate, which includes millions of hectares of remote, unmanaged forests alongside actively managed zones governed by provincial and territorial stewardship frameworks...”

“The Canadian Hydrospatial Network (CHN) is a map-based dataset that includes Canada's lakes, rivers, watersheds and other water features and their connections to each other.
    It's applications include:
🗺️ serving as a foundation for advanced hydrologic and hydraulic modelling, including for flooding and drought
🗺️ supporting water and watershed management
🗺️ providing essential base data for cartography…”
You can now explore six new regions …”

“[NRCAN has] worked with all levels of [Canadian] government to bring you a digital platform where Canadians can discover, access, analyze and map Canada’s vast geospatial data resources. 🌎🗺️
If you’re interested in urban planning, policy development or tracking outbreaks and monitoring climate change, [their] new site can help you access the data you need to make evidence-based, educated decision-making…”

  4. Something I have used a lot this year and is excellent github.com/RichardScottOZ/geos - a fork of the original with a few updates and also doing some things in - it is really well done and has pretty good models available too - with a Canada focus. I would have put a million documents through it roughly.
