Heres somethin I betcha didnt know..
Watchin a retro This Old House and theyre removin lead paint. The contractor says.. theres more lead in a gallon of paint than you think. Its not traces, its like 8-10lbs per gallon. This stairway prolly has 2-3 gallons on it so around 20lbs of lead here.

So I had a brain twizzler I had to run down this morning.
What did they do to keep track of years before AD and BC?
Apparently it was a regional mishmash of who was ruling or some other local thing that they keyed off.. so like the 23rd year of emperor whoever kinda thing.
And I guess I wasnt surprised to find that AD came along as a kinda scam. Charlemagne got with the pope to get annointed ruler on Christmas day and basically be devinely chosen. Tada.

We wanted a country. When we were given one, we invested all we had to make it last and prosper, and we still do till this day - in the most challenging circumstances.
