...on one part of the planet, it shines on another, which led Arthur C. Clarke to suggest that we build solar farms, and a global grid, which transmits electricity to the parts where it is night, in a phase shifted manner, without any need for batteries. Build this once, and we have enough electricity for the whole Earth, virtually forever, at minimal cost.
Of course, this would mean no oil & gas industry, and no oil wars, and cleaner air, and a greener Earth. 🌏
That would totally suck for the #OilAndGas industry, as well as the #DepartmentOfDefense , so of course they fight this idea tooth and nail.

In 2003, we were protesting in the streets against a march towards attacking #Iraq in what was clearly a #WarForOil.The #Dubya Administration denied it, but the rest of the world knew better.
