Yesterday https://NouvelleNoire.ch released this typewriter inspired typeface by Alexander Colby.
Formerly released with Milieu Grotesque as Lacrima, it found a new home at #NouvelleNoire.
I helped with production, #VariableFont & hinting.NN Éditeur began with a spark from the past — the Light Italic from an IBM Golfball typewriter. Our friend Alexander Colby came across it in an old IBM Selectric® specimen and couldn’t let it go. So he brought it into the digital age.

This weekend, https://NouvelleNoire.ch released my typeface NN Arosa.
Illustrations by Swiss illustrator Dominik Langloh.
Assistance by @kasperQuaink and @romainmarc.
Thanks a lot to Anton Studer and Clovis Vallois from #NouvelleNoire!The constructed humanist sans is inspired by Swiss tourism posters but takes this style into the 21st century. Next year the variable display style and a constructed script will follow.

Pro Tip: Do not time three font releases in the same week!
After updating @fontspectrum’s #PurpleHaze and #ElectricBlue at @futurefonts this week, #NouvelleNoire has just put my new Humanist Sans Arosa online.
The amazing and fun illustrations are by Swiss illustrator Dominik Langloh.#Arosa has been in the works for a while and will also get a Display #VariableFont and Script version next year.
