We’ll I bought a new hifi streamer and it just works. Easiest set-up ever and has replaced chromecast audio which was totally broken in the Qobuz app (although it still does chromecast for apps like bbc sounds etc)…
I would have quite happily stuck with my chromecast audio dongle but it doesn’t play nicely with any of the major streaming services I have access to except Spotify and I won’t use that for more than casual listening as their hi-res service is still vapourware. And I am not really a casual listener.

along that ongoing retail price explosion for vinyl records these import cds have sneaked onto the "reasonable & affordable" lists.
also, taming the addiction for more is hard.
