What physical mechanisms do you know of for statistical concepts?

I often use a board with blocks on it for a histogram, then find the balance/fulcrum under the board to demonstrate the mean; however, I'm thinking of designing physical contraptions to demonstrate, say, sampling distributions or confidence intervals.

Any ideas? Any links?

A question for all the middle aged men out there.

Do you shave your eyebrows or get the barber to do them?

I was moaning to the girl who does my hair/beard today about how many grey hairs I now have in my eyebrows (about 20%) and the odd rogue one that grows 3x as long in the opposite direction.

She was just about to run the clippers over them when I stopped her.

Do any of you men do this?
