#Reminder Thu, Aug 28th 2025 German courts are reopening the debate on whether ad blockers infringe copyright—again. Mike Masnick argues the logic is “legal zombie” nonsense, since extensions that alter page display (DOM/CSS) should be about user control—not copyright. 📰🧑💻⚖️ https://www.techdirt.com/2025/08/28/here-we-go-again-german-courts-reopen-the-is-ad-blocking-copyright-infringement-nonsense-we-thought-wed-put-to-bed/ #AdBlocking #Copyright #BrowserFreedom #Germany #Techdirt #AdBlockers #Privacy #Cybersecurity #Mozilla #Germany #PrivacyMatters #AxelSpringerSE #NotOnce #Security #Surveillance

#Reminder Published August 19, 2025 Germany’s top court revived a case that could make ad blockers unlawful over alleged copyright violations—potentially threatening user freedom, privacy, and security. Mozilla warns the precedent could hit other extensions too. If it spreads, Germany could become the 2nd country to ban ad blockers (after China). https://www.techradar.com/vpn/vpn-privacy-security/germanys-possible-ad-blocker-ban-could-threaten-user-freedom-and-privacy-says-mozilla 🔍🛡️📵 #AdBlockers #Privacy #Cybersecurity #Mozilla #Germany #PrivacyMatters #AxelSpringerSE #NotOnce #Security #Surveillance

🗞️ Remember the time when German publisher Axel Springer and Spiegel Online tried to double down on their anti–ad-blocker fights… after years of legal battles and new site-wide blocks/tests. Springer said, “We are not going to give up.”

" I noped out on the BMW 1 series after a young lad round here crashed straight into a pub wall and was badly injured - eyewitnesses and the Police confirmed he wasn't deliberately speeding nor driving badly but his accelerator pedal had stuck on which seems to be a flaw with that assembly.
"Not shocked at all — they are unbelievable. A company that hires sub‑sub‑subcontractors for their main tasks is dubious AF. Not only is the quality very problematic, but the prices for parts or repairs are exorbitant. 🤷
Yeah, touch buttons are a big no‑no in every sense. Have you ever had the awful experience of driving and trying to safely use a touchscreen while driving? 🤣🤣🤣 I think it is comparable to driving and trying to use a smartphone, which I've never done — still, I've seen people who attempted that. 🙄🤦 #notonce
And yeah your assessment for the rest is correct too :D 💡
