There is no program, no tool, no art supply that can 'magically' turn you into an artist without the actual dedication to investing time into LEARNING THE SKILLS. Here's an interesting way to look at the "elitism" we artists are accused of:

Person 1: picks up a sport and practices for years until they become good enough to be called an "elite athlete" -> gets revered and makes big money.

Person 2: picks up art and practices for years until they're good enough to be called a "professional artist" -> gets accused of "gatekeeping" and has their job killed by AI tech bros who make millions off their art without consent.

It's been infuriating seeing people go crazy over ai generated art. Everytime I see these things posted I feel like screaming. Yes, it's cool that we are now able to type words and have an image generated based on it, but these programs snatch up the art of an enormous swathe of artists who work hard to make a living with their craft. The artists receive no compensation, and for the most part don't have a say in their works being fed into the system.

All our works are made by humans, Luca for music, Alex for graphics, and they always will.

Art is more than just sounds and images, it is imbued with personal experiences and feelings, the creation process is a cathartic one that is absolutely needed to grow both as human beings and emotionally.

If we let machines create these "products" and art loses its meaning, then the soul of humanity itself might as well be dead.

AI generated artwork wouldn't exist without the billions of images that were stolen without their creators' permissions. AI images are a product of art theft. And they are empty content, they are not art. Apps can be fun, but listen to us artists, this is art theft and its creating bad precedent, companies want to cut costs, they've been underpaying artists for years, what do you think is going to happen next?
