Czy Apple doda wsparcie dla zegarków innych firm?

W kodzie iOS 26.1 beta odkryto wzmianki sugerujące, że Apple pracuje nad wsparciem dla zegarków innych firm niż Apple Watch.

Nowa funkcja nazwana Notification Forwarding miałaby umożliwiać przekazywanie powiadomień z iPhone’a na jedno zewnętrzne urządzenie naraz. Włączenie jej wyłączyłoby powiadomienia na Apple Watch.

Filipe Esposito pisze na łamach Macworld:

Najnowszy kod beta iOS zawiera niewydaną jeszcze funkcję o nazwie Notification Forwarding. Jak sama nazwa wskazuje, pozwoli ona użytkownikom na wyświetlanie powiadomień z iPhone’a na innym urządzeniu lub akcesorium spoza Apple. Gdy funkcja będzie dostępna, będzie można ją włączyć w Ustawieniach.

Jeden z ciągów znaków znalezionych w kodzie sugeruje, że powiadomienia mogą być przekazywane tylko do „jednego akcesorium na raz”, a włączenie tej opcji wyłącza powiadomienia na Apple Watch.

Dodatkowo pojawiły się odniesienia do nowych frameworków, takich jak AccessoryExtension, które mogą ułatwić parowanie akcesoriów z iPhone’em. Funkcja prawdopodobnie nie pojawi się jeszcze w iOS 26.1, lecz w późniejszej aktualizacji.

Nie wiadomo też, czy wsparcie dla smartwatchy firm trzecich będzie globalne, czy – jak w przypadku sideloadingu aplikacji – ograniczone do UE, gdzie przepisy wymuszają większą interoperacyjność urządzeń Apple.
