After migrating out from #AppleNotes, I've tried other alternatives and, by far, Joplin was the best for me, for its simplicity yet feature rich.
I use it for quick notes, but also to write long texts.
It's easy to organize and search for your notes, and the tag system is very handy, specially to group scattered notes!

If you are bored enough to have been following my posts recently, the stem of this thought is obvious - Obsidian.
I have been using other note taking apps for a while now, but mostly still stick with the folder structure instead of tags -
1. in the digital world I can always make a copy of relevant files into the working folder. If it's a living document that I need to keep version history I can move them around.
2. tag organisation is in fact rather cumbersome. It needs an internal framework or style guide of sorts to rationalise them. Try hash tagging every single post and you will soon realise what I mean.
3. on top of #2, most application search parameters are not refined enough to make search of tag combinations + date range + other criteria easy and straight forward. It has been easier for me to search for keywords because... I know what I've written most of the time.
But the introduction of bases in Obsidian flipped the balance.

Whilst I thank for the numerous good work you've done - is there any plan to implement a keyboard shortcut to switch between markdown editor and rich text editor? (Not the ctrl L to switch between preview and you panels)Any discussion I've found, old or new, are simply "you are out of luck".
There are many cases where a document works better in a specific editor mode.

I'm so happy with the change. Simple yet effective.I also tried Notesnook for a while but didn't keep it. It's quite good however.
