I am looking for a new note application that I can sync between my devices (Arch, Mac OS, and iOS) along with a web interface that is privacy focus. I would prefer it would be a paid service or self-hosted. I really appreciate any help you can provide.

Trying out Joplin for notes for the past couple of days and liking it thus far.

Love the fact that it is:
(a) Markdown based.
(b) Allows for cloud sync if required
(c) Available on most of the platforms.

One drawback for me at least is that desktop app is electron based. But will give it a shot for another few days before deciding if to stick or look for some other app.

QOwnNotes

QOwnNotes is a free open source (GPL) plain-text notepad. The program has support for markdown, and includes a to-do list manager that works on FreeBSD, Linux, MacOS and Windows. It can optionally work together with the notes application of ownCloud or Nextcloud.
