I'm not an April Fool's Day joke guy... this actually happened. I looked at one of my clocks a little while ago, and I was VERY confused when I saw it said 3/31 TUE. Was my 15ish year old clock playing an April Fool's Day joke? Hmmmmm 🤔 I've now changed it to the correct date / day.

I was sorry to read that a pedestrian in Toronto was struck by an Eglinton LRT vehicle doing a test run. A sixty-four year old woman is now in hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Metrolinx, who built the LRT, and apparently have monkeys with typewriters working in their communications department, put out a public statement that starts: “Our thoughts are with all impacted by this event…”

CW: 3d printing nylongG vs petg-gf
OK the verdict is in: after going thru a roll nylonG and a roll of PETG-GF, as gear and custom parts for FRC robots, I have to say that glass filled petg outperforms glass filled nylon in cost, ease of printing, high impact tests and low friction scenarios. PETG-GF maintains dimensional accuracy much better than nylonG, which you have to always account for 1-3% shrinkage in your prints. If you have higher temp requirements then you'll have to go with nylon, but for durable, heavy-duty accurate parts then glass filled PETG is my new standard filament. Bottom line while standard nylon will have a spot in my library, I enjoyed glass-filled PETG so much that I just ordered 2 more rolls on Amazon. If anyone else has a better source on glass-filled *PETG* filament I'm very interested, #3Dprinting also #NotaJoke.
