The leaflet was shoved through my door 10 minutes ago. It's advertising infusions of Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide, with a bunch of questionable claims. Is there a standard symbol for a quack I can go and paint on their door?

While getting soaked by the unscheduled rain on my fake commute this morning I at least spotted “my” barn owls. Let me tell you, they seemed even less impressed than I was.
Wouldn’t have seen that if I were driving.

I went back with my camera this morning and it turns out that it was a bird standing by its nest rather than one roosting that I saw yesterday - fortunately with a lot of zoom at my disposal and not having left the verge of the fairly busy road I can be confident that I didn’t disturb them as that would have been bad.

Excellent day at WWT London Wetland Centre yesterday. Local moaned there “wasn’t much about” while I was thrilled by the variety showing well. So what if peewits were the only waders in evidence and while there were many other herons the bittern didn’t show? Familiarity breeds contempt I guess.
Good views of sandmartins going in and out of their holes, a little egret stirring the water to fish, and photographing a kingfisher, were highlights.
Being unable to get photos to upload from my computer is annoying, so here’s a photo of my camera showing one of the photos of a kingfisher…
