My artwork of Count Orlok, from the classic film #nosferatu. Personally signed prints available at shawnlangley.myshopify.com
This piece was originally created using Pentel brush pens, Copic markers, Sakura Microns and color pencils.
I like this look better than the recent #Nosferatu2024 film, but that movie is still fantastic. I loved the different take, and the character performances were good.

#Nosferatu was quite a good #movie. Though the end was a little bit flat. Still, 4/5 ⭐ 👍 #imho

The movie that plays in my head when I watch Hammer Dracula movies is probably pretty close to the movie that plays on the screen in Eggers' #Nosferatu2024

Parę fragmentów z tekstu o Nosferatu. SPOILERY!

Something wicked.
"Isoldes Liebestod" (from Richard Wagner's Tristan und Isolde) as soundtrack for the last "duet" of Ellen Hutter and Count Orlok in #Nosferatu2024
The clip is tagged due to potentially sensitive content and it's somewhat of a spoiler for those who want to see the latest movie of Robert Eggers with fresh eyes. See below 👇

In the 21st century—an era where the light just won't break through—a creature of the night will find its natural habitat. Robert Eggers understands that the time is ripe for an “old-school gothic horror film” #movie #Nosferatu2024 #Nosferatu1922 #nosferatu1979

Pues hemos visto #Nosferatu.

NOSFERATU
voto all'uscita del cinema: 7/10 (gonfiato)
da metabolizzare
Murnau non andava probabilmente toccato (forse senza probabilmente)
meravigliosa ultima mezz'ora.

Half in the Bag: Trash Dracula Look Like Boat

I went to see #nosferatu2024 yesterday, and really enjoyed it. The story’s nothing new granted, being another telling of the Dracula tale, but it has some nice ideas. The atmosphere got me though, and the movie is visually stunning. Overall, I’d say I recommend it, if you’re into that kind of movie. It’s pretty much what I want to see, when I go to see that type of film.

Las roscas...
Robert Eggers 2024 -
'Nosferatu' (2024) also made me think of modern vampire fiction like 'Let The Right One In' that has a lot more tolerance towards the questions of sexuality in a violent world. It explores how our desire and struggles put us in the place that we're in.
Or take Luca Guadagninos 'Bones and All', which, while not really a vampire film, uses and modernizes a lot of its themes in creative ways and asks how such monsters are made.

I give my thoughts on the latest Nosferatu and then get into Herzog's adaptation.

@filmfreakmafia SO brief thoughts on #Nosferatu2024:
(1) Robert Eggers certainly has an aesthetic (good, bad, or indifferent);
(2) this had away more #Exorcist1973 vibes than #BramStokersDracula1992; and
(3) this may be me, but i was getting some serious misogynistic vibes
