Just got home from lunch with my frister*
We tend to chat for hours so not that surprising.
Celebrated her birthday early as it’s tomorrow.

I cannot express how bonkers it is that someone did the Grouse Grind (a popular hiking trail up Grouse Mountain just outside Vancouver) 19 times in 19 hours!!
I joggeed/ran/hiked it just once, in my absolute prime physical condition at the age of 23 in about 1hr 15min I think. It was really REALLY hard. Nearly puked at the top.
19 times is absolutely nuts.

Good morning, fediverse!
I had a follow up appointment at the Lions Gate Hospital hand clinic with my plastic surgeon for my finger. She said the biopsy confirmed it was a ganglion cyst which was what she thought. She says it’s healing well.
Saw a hand rehab person and will come back next Friday afternoon for more rehab.
Now on the bus heading to the office.

There was a woman cowering ahead of me in the park with her dog as the crows were dive-bombing me. She and her dog seemed traumatized as the crows were dive-bombing them before I arrived.
Guess I gotta change up my route to and from work to avoid the park.

I had a lovely conversation in the forest with a couple I had never met before. They asked about my bandaged finger and we talked about the beauty of nature, mobility issues (the woman had a cane), the horrible realities in the world, and the sadness of dementia.
We were at the duck pond that I love visiting and it ended up feeling like a group therapy session so I thanked them both. Hope I bump into them again.

I’m home from the hospital to have the cyst removed from my left index finger by my plastic surgeon.
I’m grateful the minor treatment room moved recently so I didn’t have to go to the same place my foot surgeries took place. That’s where I developed PTSD so my entire body exhaled in relief once I saw the sign on the door. ☺️
I needed more freezing as usual but she was great at telling me what she was doing + asking how I was.

Today I took myself to a forest for some much-needed nature time. There’s a Save-On grocery store nearby so I stopped in.
They have a *huge* health section. The nutritionist came to see if I was finding everything + I mentioned I was happy to see the selection of brands.
I noted one for hot flashes + he was surprised I needed that. He said he thought I was 35 but I told him I’ll be 55 this year.
I love seeing surprised reactions to my age.

I’m on a bus waiting for a driver. People keep getting off the bus.

This is the last leg of my journey home to North Van from Costco in Vancouver so I’m staying put. Hope the driver shows up soon.
