Spent a lot of my childhood on Irvine beach running around. Completely forgot those days until I started to spend more time on the Ayrshire coast recently. Currently walking the Ayrshire Coastal Path in day stages, however Irvine beach is so far the favourite section for me. Now a regular dog walk location in all weathers, although the windier weather really shows its character.
