This Norman McLaren / National film board of Canada short from 1953 was shown a lot on the BBC when I was growing up.
The message seems even more relevant today.
Oh and the electronic soundtrack was cutting edge stuff then.

First up we have the animated “Blinkity Blank” (1955) (https://youtu.be/q3YeWgUgPHM?si=wSlrpMoLq3H25hKH) directed by Scottish-American animator and filmmaker with music composed by Canadian composer, luthier and sound editor Maurice Blackburn. McLaren made “Blinkity Blank” (1955) by engraving directly onto black film leader. The soundtrack even combines with the sounds of McLaren scratching onto the film's optical soundtrack with Blackburn’s compositions
