Yes, this is brilliant, at long last connecting active travel from North End and North Lynn directly along Railway Road to The Walks, the stations and the new library by remodelling the A148 and replacing some underused pavement, two or three parking spaces and an underused fourth northbound lane.

This is the same Road Safety Team that objected to a #cycleway continuing across a junction but approved this as a better solution in #kingsLynn #NorfolkUK - I feel the main reason this hasn't killed anyone yet is that most people ignore it and rejoin the carriageway before the end of the road, or turn left and U turn (the "primary" cycle route continues on-road away from the camera). Or give up cycling this route after one attempt and drive because that's what #NorfolkCountyCouncil expect

A primary route closed for more than two years. No-one should say Norfolk takes active travel seriously while stuff like this happens, and council support for walking is usually much more than for cycling!

Tomorrow is Diana's chemotherapy session. Hopefully, the water leak will be sorted by the end of the day and we can have another go at getting to our mooring on Saturday. However, fixing the leak requires the shower tray to be lifted (probably for the first time in 45 years), so who knows how smoothly it will go. -
