Ruotsi ja Suomi kisaavat tasavahvasti suurista datakeskuksista. Mutta jos Suomi päättää torpata datakeskukset jatkossa poliittisin perustein, meille jäävät käteen vain isommat sähkölaskut.

Syynä on tietysti se, että Suomi on osa yhteispohjoismaista sähköpörssiä, jossa naapurimaan kasvanut sähkön kysyntä nostaa suoraan meidänkin sähkön hintaa.

Anyone else struggling with the new 15 minute electricity billing and Home Assistant?
I used to have script that can tell the price rank of current hour (0-23) but it broke down as there are now 96 quarters in day instead of 24 hours.

I'm not good enough with the template language to write my own script and I'm pretty sure someone else has already done it. Has anyone seen any discussions or solutions for this?

Here's the most expensive hour from the Nordpool price-matching curves. Supply-side curve ends at 11 GW while demand-side curve starts at 10.6 GW and continues to 12.7 GW. Real total demand will also include consumption outside of the spot market and cross-border import at the spot price.

Someone fatfingered their electricity bid last week:
"oversold an average of 5,787 megawatts for each hour of the day", which apparently maths out to ca. 50% of the consumption of entire Finland, and sets you back somewhere around 20m EUR. Finish consumers profited through record-low prices.
