Since the pandemic, we have received an extra day off called a "recharge day" every quarter at Red Hat. Today, I really used it as a recharge day. I went Nordic skiing and am now physically exhausted but mentally recharged. 🌞

Někdo zkušenost se skin běžkami? Rady a varování? Mám už nějak plné zuby voskování. Sice mi bylo líto měnit stávající lyže, ale jednak už jsou trochu jeté a jednak už mi dochází trpělivost (zvládnu namazat, ale když mažu pro větší část rodiny, tak je to vopruz). #NordicSkiing

😱 Jsem nějakou dobu neobnovoval svoje běžkařské vybavení a ač jsem veskrze pro sjednocení standardů, tak jsem jako zákazník s hrůzou zjistil, že se tedy z trhy vypařilo vázání SNS Pilot. Jistí to bazary a nějaké skladové doprodeje. Tak doufám, že se mi příští sezónu nerozpadnou boty. #NordicSkiing

Two years in a row now that the Minneapolis area parks departments have put out signs and equipment on local trails as if this were going to be a traditional winter with X-C skiing aplenty.

I wonder how long until they give in to hope and leave the skiing paraphernalia in storage until the weather gods bless us with a rare ski season like the old days.

We celebrated New Year’s Eve by going #nordicskiing on a freshly groomed trail near Mountain Dell Reservoir in Northern Utah. Later in the day I put some extra lights on our cargo bike and we rode to downtown #Sugarhouse for a celebratory beverage or two. Luckily there’s a cycle path for the ride so we didn’t have to take a chance with drunk drivers. #BikeTooter
