Personally, I find it virtually impossible to be depressed or down if there’s a banjo, mandolin and fiddle playing within earshot. Stereo stays on all day in our home. As I have good reason on occasion to entertain morbid thoughts, better than most, my self-care often involves liberal doses of upbeat #bluegrass as well as #Celtic and #NordicFolkMusic. You know, #music that makes your feet tap - breakdowns, jigs, reels, strathspeys and Nordic polska. 🎼

Back to everyday life (sigh) after a beautiful weekend surrounded by musicians at Nyckelharpawochenende Süd in Balingen! 💚

I enjoyed teaching my intermediate class so much and it's always such a pleasure to meet up with the nyckelharpa family from around the globe, to jam and chat and nerd out 💚
