@allafarce the way I think about the topic of this thread:

- There are relationships
- There are some currencies of exchange. Maybe it's purchasing a service, maybe it's funding an idea or story.
- the complexity/novelty of the exchange is going affect the level of specificity required to maintain/grow the relationship.

I got annoyed by the "#noplanning" because I don't think the lesson for me is not to plan. But that *a plan* for that project, at that time, wasn't right.

There is a difference between #planning and #preparing:

#Planning in organizations is a mechanism not of preparation/getting ready/getting fit, but of #steering OTHERS. It is related to command-and-control.
This is a fact. Not an opinion.

#Preparing, on the other hand is something individuals, teams (or groups) do for themselves (!!!!!). It is thus not related to command-and-control, but to the work itself.

With command-and-control (or: Alpha) organizations) however, that won't be possible: They are too wasteful, too centralized, too slow, too ineffective, too innovation-inhibiting.
